two days ago was this county's birthday

dad, mom, leah and leslie came and visited wednesday, thursday and friday. it was good to see them. friday was the fourth of july. the fourth was a little bit different for me this year. it didnt much seem like the fourth to me, i dont know why. maybe because i didnt have to mow the yard and get ready for people to come to the house. but friday evening we did our out reach at one of the area firework shows and gave out pop ice, it was a good time of outreach and then fellowship with project as we watched the fireworks together. the firework show wasnt all that great, but it was still a good time. last night we had the farewell banquet tfor the staff. they are leaving for good in the mornin. it is crazy to think that 5 weeks ago we were just getting here. it is crazy to think that i will be here for less than a month, it seems like last week that i got here. it has been a great summer so far and i can only imagine that it will get better these last couple of weeks. all this being said i do look forward to seeing everyone again. hope yall are having great summers


this is a high up as i could get a couple of weeks ago when we went hiking at heimedin hollow on the buffalo river. i was about half way up.

that is how much further it was to the top. that was a great trip.
